The Final Stretch

Today, I managed to finish the rough draft of the music video! It went pretty well, and I like the way it looks though I believe I still have a few edits. We did not end up having to reshoot some scenes because I could edit the lighting.

The first scene still has messed up lighting but in the interest of time, I am leaving it as it is because the scenes all work together and I do not wish to mess with the time. I also realized there was a sound issue, but it is not entirely noticeable, so once again I am going to leave it unless I have extra time to fix it. This week has been pretty tough with work, so I have been procrastinating on this project. At the end of the semester, I have a lot of tests and homework as well as preparing for exams.

The rest of the scenes are mostly the same as I described last time, but I zoomed in on one of my partners ones that was filmed vertically instead of historically. It turns out she used a camera with incredible ISO which allowed me to zoom in without the issues of grainy images. I actually think zooming in improved the quality of the film in general. This is because you get a better idea of the photo.

The narration part was interesting to make up. Originally, we had planned to do four different actors but that did not work out due to mix-ups in dates. So we had four different characters played by two different characters. I was wondering whether I should pretend they were separate or combine them. In the end, I decided the separate them because it made more sense, but I think the same actors made it confusing.

There is a lot of this video I am not happy with, but at least it has been a learning experience. At the end of the day, I am glad I learned so much from this project. It has prepared me for issues to expect in the movie as well as filming and editing advice later on in life. Next time, I will try to choose to be behind the camera because I have enough experience I think that is where I am best!
