Planning Blog: The Devil In the Details of the Title

Hello!

The opening credits of my film will appear in an old-style sans-serif font that will fade in and out of the bottom right corner of the screen. None will be embedded which was a purposeful choice as the type creates an exclusion from the scene, forcing the audience to be observers rather than feeling entrenched in the scene which might give a creepy effect.

Working Title:

The title of this film is likely to be “The Cupcake.”

- It will be a bold typewriter font in all lowercase on a highlighted background. We chose this style particularly because it gives an air of mystery and crime we hope to evoke in our introduction.

This is a general idea of its appearance:

General Titles:

Titles will all fade in and out onto the screen. Disappearing after three seconds, they will be in either black or white font depending on the lighting of the scenes to whichever provides the best contrast; Most likely, that will be the white, but we are keeping our options open.

It will look something like this:

Additionally, the first name of the person who holds the job will be 2 sizes larger than the rest of the words to show its importance within the scene.
